Detoxification & Drainage
Detoxification is the extra-cellular process of supporting our organs of elimination: the liver, kidneys, bowels, lungs and skin. Drinking water, exercise, meditation, hydrotherapy, massage, saunas, dry skin brushing, fasting, and colonics are some of the ways to support organs in their detoxifying action.
Drainage is intra-cellular detoxification allowing for the release of trapped toxins within the cells. Elimination of these acidic toxins and residual wastes are facilitated by specific minerals, trace elements and drainage remedies.
It is important the body be able to release its toxins to stay healthy! Toxins that are stored in the body cause malfunctioning symptoms that in time lead to chronic dis-ease.
What are toxins?
Toxins are substances the body cannot use or process that are subsequently stored in our cells.
Toxins cause harm to the body cells, organs, and interfere with normal physiological functions.
Exogenous toxins come from outside sources and are generally inhaled or ingested, such as: polluted air, city water, cigarette smoke, alcohol, prescription drugs, food additives, personal care products, household cleansers, x-rays, microwaves, and electro-magnetic pollution such as cell phones, computers, communication towers, fluorescent lighting, and electrical appliances.
Endogenous toxins are produced internally, due to poor lifestyle, inadequate nutrition, suppressive medical treatments, toxic environment, and inherited genetic weaknesses.
